Moerlein Lager House and Cincinnati Shakespeare Team Up for a ShakesBEERE Dinner with Live Performances

The Moerlein Lager House celebrates the opening of the new theater for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company at the Moerlein Lager House “ShakesBEERE” dinner on Wednesday, February 8 at 6 p.m.  This event will combine dinner and theater into a one of a kind experience.

The dinner includes five courses with beer pairings, along with five performances from Cincinnati Shakespeare’s Resident Company of actors featuring selections from Shakespeare’s Canon. Each course will be crafted by Moerlein Lager House chefs to match the Shakespeare selection that patrons will see. This is a rare opportunity to experience the best of Shakespeare, cuisine and beer in the same night. The seating is extremely limited and reservations are required.

The dinner and performances are in partnership with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company to toast its new building at 12th and Elm Street in Over-the-Rhine, scheduled to open on September 8, 2017. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and Christian Moerlein have partnered for many years with CSC selling hand crafted Moerlein beers with titles playing tribute to the Shakespeare selections on CSC’s stage.  From ShakesBEERE titles like “The Taming of the Brew” and “Much A Brew About Nothing” to the seasonal beer selections of “Shakespeare’s Canon,” audiences get the best of theater and beer in one bottle.

Limited tickets are $75 per person (includes five course meal with beer pairings and Shakespeare performances), plus tax and gratuity. For more information or to purchase tickets, email
