Cincinnati Wine Festival helps relief in Northern California
By Jackie Reau, Publisher/Editor
Having just returned for a weekend in Wine Country, I can tell you first hand the direct impact of the wild fires that displaced thousands of residents through Northern California a few weeks ago. But this resilient wine and hospitality community is back open for business and wanted us to tell everyone when we returned to Cincinnati.
Kudos to the Cincinnati International Wine Festival for creating a campaign to raise funds for the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund (Napa Valley Community Foundation) and for donating $40,000 directly from the Festival.
The Wine Festival will match up to $10,000 in donations through November 15.
According to the Wine Festival’s director, Debbie Dent, “Without the support of California wineries, the Cincinnati International Wine Festival would not be what it is today. And our friends in California have recently suffered massive devastation as a result of widespread wildfires.”
