Christian Moerlein releases FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA in cans
Christian Moerlein will unveil its new FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA in 16 oz. cans just in time for the United Soccer League season on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Christian Moerlein Malt House Taproom (1621 Moore Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45202) in Over-The-Rhine.
Fans can score this beer in 4-pack 16 oz. cans and on draft at the Taproom, in the market, and at the stadium. Moerlein FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA posters will be given out free at the launch event.
According to the Moerlein brewers: The canvas for this ale is a white IPA utilizing a blend of white wheat, 2-row pale ale, and honey malts. A fusion of Cascade, Centennial, and Citra hops were used to balance the malt with an array of floral and citrus aromas. And finally we added Blood Orange puree to give it not just further citrus notes, but also a deep orange color like the FC Cincinnati fans by which it was inspired.
