ArtsWave and MadTree join forces to present MadTree Mash Up
Continuing a tradition of creating and celebrating collaborative arts experiences and opportunities, ArtsWave presents MadTree Mash Up at 7 pm on Tuesday, March 14 at the brewery’s new, expanded facility in Oakley.
Experience the new MadTree venue, with more than 4,500 square feet of taproom space, 29 craft beers to choose from and specialty wood-fired pizza from Catch-A-Fire Café’s in-house kitchen.
Featured is Pones, Inc., a local dance troupe committed to engaging audiences, and four local musicians. Each Pones dancer is paired with a musician for a collaborative performance to begin at 7:00 pm. The performers include:
- Dancer Ian Forsgren performing contemporary dance, with Judy Tsai performing on cello
- Dancer Ashley Morton performing Latin-inspired movement, with Nick Rose-Stamey performing on guitar
- Dancer Glenda Figueiredo performing a jazz number, with Ricky Williams, Jr. performing on saxophone
- Dancer Mandie Reiber performing ballet, with Lauren Schloemer performing on violin
In 2016, MadTree approached ArtsWave to be the recipient charitable organization for of their brand-new canned release of Rubus Cacao. MadTree donated 50% of all canned Rubus Cacao sales, resulting in the tap room selling out the entire canned supply that night. That success inspired this year’s collaborative experience.
Individuals who attend this year have two ways to support ArtsWave’s Annual Community Campaign: the “toss-a-buck” method, where attendees throw as much cash as they prefer into a hanging grate next to the bar or by purchasing a colorful MadTree headband. All proceeds from these channels go directly to ArtsWave’s Annual Community Campaign, running through April 27.
