Moerlein Lager House and The Banks Public Partnership, with support from Prus Construction and Messer, will be tapping a special brew to celebrate the “Decade of Development 2008-2018” since the groundbreaking of The Banks on Cincinnati’s riverfront.

Moerlein Lager House and The Banks Public Partnership will kick off this anniversary celebration with the keg tapping of The Banks Blueberry Wheat Ale on Thursday, July 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Schmidlapp Event Lawn. The festivities will continue after the tapping with Rockin’ the Roebling. The Billy Rock Band will take the stage until 9 p.m.

Partnering bars at The Banks will also be serving up the beer in a commemorative pint glass that you can take home with you while supplies lasts. Participating venues in The Banks include, Moerlein Lager House, AC Hotel, BurgerFi, Condado, Jefferson Social, Pies ‘n’ Pints, Taste of Belgium and The Stretch.

The Banks Blueberry Wheat Ale recipe was developed by Moerlein Lager House Master Brewer JD Angell. It is a crisp and clean beer with a slightly bready character from careful use of Pilsner and Wheat malts. It has a prominent blueberry aroma with a hint of noble hops. Bitterness is reserved, providing balance to the sweetness of the blueberry puree added during fermentation. The Ale has an ABV of 4.7% and 13 IBU.
