Holiday Shopping and Family Fun await you Downtown this Weekend

During the holidays, Downtown Cincinnati is bustling with bright lights, holiday fun and shopping deals. Speaking of deals, here are a few gifts you may want to consider for your favorite fashionista.

Downtown Holidays Fun continues this weekend with a number of special events:

Cincinnati Northern Model Railroad Club Holiday Model Train Display at atrium in the Main Library, set up Friday morning, on view through Sunday. You can take a turn actually running the trains! Plus train-related stories, crafts and activities from The Children’s Learning Center.

ArtsWave CincySings Carolers on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 3-5 p.m. at Carew Tower, Macy’s lobby (505 Vine St.), and the Westin Atrium.

Caroling on the Connector, also on Saturday 3-5 p.m., from the Young Professionals Choral Collective. Enjoy holiday music while your shop along the streetcar route.

Saturdays, December 2, 9; 6:30 p.m. (choirs at 5:30 p.m.)
FREE! See Santa and his friends rappelling down the side of the Huntington Bank Center to the Macy’s rooftop to kick off a spectacular fireworks display. This 20-minute family-friendly program features performances from local choirs and guest emcees starting at 5:30 p.m.

MAGIC of the Holidays: December 2
Host Victoria Morgan, artistic director of Cincinnati Ballet, and the Nutcracker, celebrate the magic of the holidays with music from the Queen City Sisters and the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus.

FAMILY FUN for the Holidays: December 9
The Wicked Stepsisters, from Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati holiday production of Cinderella, host Cinderella and the Cincinnati Boychoir as they sing family favorites for this festive season.

Story time with Mrs. Claus at Macy’s Fountain Place
