NASCAR Hall of Famer, three-time Cup Series Champion and Kentucky Native Darrell Waltrip is the Guest of Honor at this year’s fund-raising dinner benefiting the Kentucky Speedway Children’s Charities on June 15, 6 p.m. at Montgomery Inn.
The annual dinner provides an intimate setting with a high-level Guest of Honor from the NASCAR industry, upscale dinner and premium gift bag for each attendee.
The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities was established in the summer of 2011, surrounding Kentucky Speedway's first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race working to helping children improve their quality of life, and through our various events and activities, we strive to raise critical funds and provide grants to non-profit children’s organizations in Kentucky, Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana.
The chapter partnered with Feed the Children to distribute over 680,000 pounds of food and supplies to almost 14,000 families in need. Over the past three years, the chapter has raised and awarded almost $227,000 in grant funding to several organizations serving children in need in the local community. Since its inception in 2011, the Kentucky Chapter of SCC and Kentucky Speedway have distributed over $536,000 in funding and assistance in the local area.
All proceeds from this event are awarded to local non-profit children’s organizations through SCC’s Grant Distribution Program. Reservations are available by visiting the Kentucky Speedway Children’s Charities website.
