Film Cincinnati Celebrates 30th Anniversary with “Backlot 30” Street Party on September 23
Film Cincinnati will mark its 30th anniversary with a “Backlot 30” street party on Saturday, September 23 in the Findlay Market area. The party will re-create the back lot of a movie set with special effects, entertainment, production design, props, makeup artists and other behind the scenes surprises.
“Superstar” general admission tickets are available for $50 before August 15, and $60 after. A limited number of VIP/Director’s Lounge tickets will be available at $150 before August 15 and $160 after. “Entourage” tickets for 10 also are available at $1,350 before August 15 and $1,400 after. All tickets are now available at http://www.filmcincinnati.com/backlot30.
Sponsorships for the event are also available. For information, contact Melissa Collins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“We want to share the celebration of our first 30 years of movie magic in Cincinnati with the community and our supporters who make all this happen,” said Kristen Schlotman, executive director of Film Cincinnati. “We also want to highlight the local jobs created by the film industry and the talented cast and crews who are in demand by producers who come here to shoot films.”
Guests will enter on a red carpet and have their photos taken as they become part of a film premiere photo experience. Once on the back lot, they’ll be immersed in the action that goes on behind the scenes of a movie as directors set up shots, extras move from one scene to another and special effects set the tone for the films.
Food stations and specialty bars will be scattered throughout the sets and a DJ and dance floor will be part of the celebration.
