ArtsWave has reimagined its 30+-year tradition, Sampler program into a series of events, ArtsWave Days that will span the entire three months of the 2018 ArtsWave Community Campaign. Each Saturday from this Saturday through April 21, ArtsWave Days will feature a set of curated events with a different theme, focus and venue.

February 10, 2018, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.: I (heart) arts!

1-4 p.m.
“Anime for Anyone & Everyone!” invites artists of all ages to try their hand at sketching Japanese cartoons, Manga and Anime from live, costumed models and all materials supplied.

Behringer-Crawford Museum, 1600 Montague Road, Covington
10 a.m.-5 p.m.
“Storied Threads,” a new exhibit, marks Behringer-Crawford Museum’s celebration of a spectacular art form and the creative contributions of textile artists from our region. On this day, the museum will showcase the quilter’s journey and artist’s methods with their stories of inspiration.

Silhouette artist Pattie Purnell will make a charming keepsake that will be treasured for generations.

An a cappella concert by the Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers featuring Gospel and R&B music.

Families are invited to come together for singing, moving, listening, and playing instruments with Miss Nancy’s Musikgarten.

12 p.m.
School House Symphony will show and share how symphony musical instruments  look, sound and are played for enjoyment by the entire family.

1 p.m.
Roberta Schultz welcomes the entire family to join in participating in a drum circle.

Contemporary Dance Theatre, 1805 Larch Avenue
10 a.m. to noon
Contemporary Dance Theatre offers a new look at dance with interactive dancing and a craft activity for the entire family.

Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive
10 a.m.
Cincinnati Kung Fu demonstrates a variety of Chinese martial arts including animal and weapon forms and board breaking.

11 a.m.
Join Anaya Belly Dance on a multicultural journey as this dance company blends many dance and music styles with old world belly dance to create interactive performances.

1 p.m.
Live performance by Wild Carrot & Their Roots Band with an interactive set of Americana music from Blues to Bluegrass, Country to Celtic, American Songbook standards to Award-winning original songs.

2 p.m.
Live performance by Zak Morgan featuring a musical concert for families featuring songs filled with word play, humor and positive messages.

Fitton Center for Creative Arts, 101 South Monument Avenue
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Enjoy an ongoing schedule of hands-on pottery, sculpture, dance, music, visual arts, theater and experience what the Fitton Center for Creative Arts has to offer.

Irish Heritage Center, 3905 Eastern Avenue
11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Enjoy a day of family fun activities with hands-on art activities, sing a tune, hoop dancing and live theatre.

Kennedy Heights Arts Center, 6546 Montgomery Road
11 a.m.
Mandala Art with Radha Lakshmi is inspired by the rituals of South Asia and participants will collectively create a temporary mandala using colored sand and natural materials.

1 p.m.
Fashion Challenge with Karen Saunders where teams will create wearable outfits using only simple materials culminating in a zany fashion show.

3 p.m.
World Percussion with Baba Charles Miller where participants will learn African and Latin rhythms using traditional hand instruments.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum, 1763 Hamilton Cleves Rd, Hamilton, OH

The Park and Museum will offer free admission on this day along with free programs.
