Summer Filled with Family Activities at Liberty Center
Families looking for something to do during the summer need look no further than Liberty Center, where the summertime calendar is filled with events for the entire family.
Red White and Liberty
The summer celebration starts Sunday, July 1 with “Red White and Liberty.” Get a jump on the July 4th holiday with activities at the Park at Liberty Center starting at 1 p.m. with free family activities. Registration for the Red Wagon Parade also starts at 1 p.m. with the parade stepping off at 2:30 p.m. Winners will be announced a half hour later for Most Creative, Most Patriotic and Best in Show.
The summer fun continues on Thursday, August 2, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with Rooftop Rewind, benefiting the Anthony Muñoz Foundation with special guest Drew Lachey. Take a trip back to the 1990s and donate to a great cause as well.
Liberty Center Tailgate
On Sunday, August 12, starting at 11 a.m., Liberty Center kicks off football season with a tailgate in the Square until 1 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite football gear and join in the free family activities, including special appearances from local favorites.
Sunday, August 26 is Superhero Day from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Park. Dress like a superhero and meet local superheroes including local police officers, firefighters and EMTs.
