Maxime Kien New Chef at Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza

With experience in kitchens around the world and in the U.S., Maxime Kien takes over this week as the new executive chef of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza downtown.

Chef Kien follows Todd Kelly, who left the hotel last summer to become executive chef at Atlanta’s Town and Country Club.

Chef Kien is from the South of France in the Cote D’Azur region and earned three French culinary degrees by the age of 20. He’s worked in the French Riviera, including the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo, in London, then Atlanta, New Orleans and Las Vegas, where he led 200 chefs and 18 sous chefs for Caesars Entertainment.

Chef Kien has held positions with the Ritz-Carlton and the Hyatt Regency and most recently served for almost two years as the executive chef at the Cleveland Hilton. In Cincinnati Chef Kien will be in charge of Orchids, Ohio’s only AAA Five Diamond Restaurant, the Bar and Grille at Palm Court, along with catering and banquets.
