Get Ready to Race with Fleet Feet in 2019

FLEET FEET.png

Always dreamed of training for the Flying Pig full or half marathon? Cincinnati running and walking retailer Fleet Feet is adopting eager participants into their training family for 2019. These groups aim to be fun, social and remove stress of training so participants can focus on reaching the finish swine.

Fleet Feet has developed different training programs based on custom goals of each trainee. For those running the full or half marathon in May, they put together a 17-week training program focusing on pace, and strength, lengthening your runs, race prep, and recovery.

Last year, more than 800 Cincinnatians joined Fleet Feet training teams. This year, the group aims to have 1,000 in the self-described running and walking “family.”

Registration runs through December, with the first informative meetings and training days happening the second week of January. Registration for the group costs $150 and includes:

  • Gear from official club sponsor Brooks including a training shirt, full zip hoodie and gift certificates for use on any Brooks item at Fleet Feet

  • Group runs and walks with refueling stations, turn-by-turn routes (with elevation profiles), and Pace Group Leaders

  • Access to training program coordinators, head coaches, and medical professionals at Oxford Physical Therapy (all provided with registration)
