Oxford Physical Therapy Centers & Sports Therapy, Inc. Announce Merger to Create Area's Largest Independent Physical Therapy Practice


Oxford Physical Therapy Centers and Sports Therapy, Inc., the two largest independently owned physical therapist private practices in the Greater Cincinnati area, have announced the planned merger of their two companies.  The integration of their businesses will be known as Oxford Physical Therapy as of April 2, 2018.

Both Oxford Physical Therapy and Sports Therapy, Inc. offer their patients the expertise in musculoskeletal healthcare; by serving, rehabilitating and caring for the total patient and athlete.  With solid roots in the Tri-State, Oxford Physical Therapy was founded in 1992 by Ken Rusche, Med, AT, ATC, PT, SCS and Pete Zulia, MBA, AT, ATC, PT, SCS; while Sports Therapy, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Eric Novicki, AT and Kathleen Novicki, PT.

Leading the Physical Therapy community in the Tri-State during that time, both companies provide a unique blend of specialized Physical Therapy services such as; Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, Aquatic Physical Therapy, Dry Needling, Golf Fitness/Rehabilitation, Kinesio-Taping, Spine and Joint Manual Physical Therapy, Oncology Rehabilitation, Gait evaluation – orthotics fabrication & fitting, Industrial/Work Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention,  Soft Tissue Mobilization and Balance & Vestibular Rehabilitation.

This merger will combine 22 Physical Therapy locations in the Tri-State Region – as well as an onsite presence to over 80 industrial site locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The number of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and athletic trainers will total over 80 professional clinical staff.

All these physical therapy center locations will continue to see patients; either without a doctor referral – following the Physical Therapy Direct Access Laws of Ohio and Kentucky; or by the traditional physician referral.
