Companions on a Journey "Change for Charity" Recipient at Liberty Center for March/April

Companions on a Journey (COJ) is the March/April recipient for the Liberty Center Foundation’s Change for Charity program, where a portion of parking meter proceeds collected at Liberty Center benefits designated organizations.

Companions on a Journey’s Grief Support program offers support to anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one. Based in West Chester, Companions on a Journey is a faith-based social service organization that provides bereavement and educational services to help those who grieve and educate those who do not understand the world of grief. COJ provides adult and child support groups, Teens-in-Grief high school programs and information sessions.

“Companions on a Journey is doing important work in our community to support local families as they grieve the loss of loved ones,” said Kevin Cedik, General Manager of Liberty Center. “We are pleased to support them as our Change for Charity recipient for the months of March and April where a portion of parking meter proceeds benefit their organization.”

Six non-profits are part of the Liberty Center Foundation’s Change for Charity program in 2018, including: Most Valuable Kids of Greater Cincinnati; Companions on a Journey; Bold and Brave Kids Foundation; Anthony Muñoz Foundation; Pink Ribbon Girls and Caring Community Collaborative. At Liberty Center, there are 204 parking meters with an additional 4,400 parking spots in adjacent lots and garages.
