Drew Lachey returns as host of ArtsWave’s CincySings on April 19
Ten teams are competing to be crowned workplace champion in ArtsWave CincySings, the popular choir competition and nationally-acclaimed employee engagement event sponsored by Accenture, on April 19 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
The ten teams in this year's competition include: P&G, The Christ Hospital, Duke Energy, Western & Southern Insurance, Sibcy Cline, Macy's, Cincinnati Children's, University of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, and BB&T.
Cincinnati’s famed member of ‘90s boy band 98 Degrees and Broadway actor Drew Lachey returns to emcee the event for its fourth year.
Celebrity judges include Local 12’s Bob Herzog, Cincinnati Enquirer arts writer Janelle Gelfand, Cincinnati Pops conductor John Morris Russell, and Learning Through Art, Inc. CEO and award-winning jazz musician Kathy Wade.
Teams are judged on talent, cohesiveness, showmanship and creativity. This year, ArtsWave introduces a new way for the audience to get involved during the performance through live Fan Favorite voting. While the judges tally their votes, audience members will have the opportunity to select their favorite team via social media platform, CrowdRise, while helping ArtsWave raise funds for its annual community campaign. Information on this new component of the competition will be announced at the event.
The winning team will sing the National Anthem at Art in the Park, ArtsWave’s annual event at Great American Ball Park, take home a commemorative trophy, and earn a spot to compete in next year’s CincySings.
