The 2018 Cincinnati Music Festival Local Talent Search opens call for entries on May 23

Cincinnati Music Festival (CMF) is in search of local music talent for the second annual Cincinnati Music Festival Local Talent Searchwith a call for entries beginning May 23 through June 4. Musicians can submit one video of an original song to the website, CMF.Cincinnati.com. Contest rules are also available at CMF.Cincinnati.com.

From June 6 through June 27, there will be a public voting period where fans can vote once per day at CMF.Cincinnati.com. Celebrity judges, including Fantasiaand Jazz Artist Kathy Wade, will also judge the Top 10 videos who garner the most votes. The winner will be announced on July 13.

The 2018 Cincinnati Music Festival presented by P&G returns July 26-28 to Paul Brown Stadium with three evenings of performances including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Boyz II Men, Fantasia, Jill Scott, The Roots and Common, among many others. Tickets for the Cincinnati Music Festival are on-sale at CincyMusicFestival.com.

Last year, singer/songwriter Chandler Carterfrom West Chester won the contest with her original song “Cold” and was the opening act for the evening when May J. Blige performed.

The Top Three winners in the 2018 Cincinnati Music Festival Local Talent Searchwill receive the following prizes:

  • 1ST Place Winner:
    • Live performance opportunity at CMF Thursday Press Conference with one song and a 15-minute set at the Thursday Kickoff at Paul Brown Stadium club lounge 
    • Another performance – Friday at Paul Brown Stadium main stage with one song
    • Artist meet and greet with two field seat tickets for the CMF weekend 
    • $200 cash prize
  • 2ND Place Winner:
    • Live performance on Tide Stage in front of Paul Brown Stadium
    • Two tickets to CMF weekend
    • $150 cash prize
      • 3RD Place Winner:            
    • Live performance at Friday Flow at Washington Park on July 20
    • Two tickets to CMF weekend
    • $100 cash priz
