ArtWorks Seeks Creative Small Businesses for “Big Pitch”

ArtWorks is seeking Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky-based creative business owners and entrepreneurs that offer creative services or artisan goods to apply for the fourth annual ArtWorks Big Pitch presented by U.S. Bank, a mentorship program and pitch competition for established creative businesses. Applications will be accepted from April 24 until June 23 at ArtWorksCincinnati.org.

The program is designed for creative businesses that have been established for at least two years, whose headquarters are within 30 miles of the ArtWorks downtown office. Eight finalists will be selected through a competitive application process to participate in the program, and they will be paired with a business mentor and U.S. Bank Small Business Banking Specialist.

Over 10 weeks, each finalist will receive mentorship and coaching as well as pitch help and business planning assistance. The program will culminate in a public pitch event September 28 at Memorial Hall, in which finalists will compete for a $15,000 business grant and a $5,000 Audience Choice grant, sponsored by U.S. Bank.

“This program gives small businesses the chance to take the next step in reaching their dreams,” said Tamara Harkavy, ArtWorks CEO. “We thank U.S. Bank for again offering its expertise this year to this important project.”

The 2016 winners were OCD Cakes, $15,000 Grand Prize, and The Lodge, $5,000 audience vote prize. A complete list of past finalists and winners is available here.
