At the 2018 Cincinnati Music Festival, Source Cincinnati, an independent organization created in 2013 to amplify the “Cincinnati Story” to national media, invited a writer from Essence Magazine to attend the music festival and other attractions, restaurants and hotels in Cincinnati. As a result of this national media cultivation, CMF was included in this prestigious list of R&B music festivals. Essence Magazine has a monthly reach of more than six million readers among its magazine, website and social media platforms.

“It is an honor for Cincinnati Music Festival to be recognized as a top R&B music festival in North America by Essence Magazine,” said Joe Santangelo, producer of the festival. “Our community partnerships with Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau and Source Cincinnati is helping us elevate our national audience and reach.
