The Cincinnati Women’s Sports Association honored the top college and high school female athletes as well as advocates for women’s sports at the silver anniversary of the Cincinnati Women’s Sports Association annual awards banquet at the Schiff Banquet and Conference Center on Monday.
“The Power of Music,” a performance to benefit the UC Health’s Barrett Cancer Center, will be held Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Hall. The performance will feature musician and composer Zac Greenberg, dancer and choreographer Charlotte Smith and concert:nova. The event will honor Dr. Stanley Kaplan and Dr. Fred Elkus.
Cincinnati Ballet closes its 2017-2018 subscription season with Bold Moves April 26-29, an adventurous, star-studded production at the Aronoff Center, completewith live music by Chicago ensemble, Eighth Blackbird. This triple bill features popular music of today, adventurous choreographers, and bold elevations into uncharted dance territory. This year’s program showcases renowned New York City Ballet dancer/choreographer Justin Peck in collaboration with world-famous musician Bryce Dessner for Murder Ballades, plus World Premieres by Kate Weare and Cincinnati Ballet Resident Choreographer, Jennifer Archibald.
A capacity crowd enjoyed Savor, a new event hosted by Cincinnati magazine at Pinecroft Mansion on the Crosley Estate, last evening. The five-course meal prepared jointly by Chef Danny Combs of Boca, and Sotto and Chef José Salazar of Mita’s and Salazar benefitted Cincinnati International Wine Festival and the Cincinnati Preservation Association.
