Steve Hampton, the driving force behind next week’s Bockfest celebration, knows a good beer when he sees—and tastes—one. And he knows that good beer draws a crowd. He’s hoping that this city’s brewing heritage will become a major tourist attraction through the Brewing Heritage Trail.
The Liberty Center Foundation, the charitable arm of Liberty Center, presents "Red Carpet Affair" on Thursday, March 1, starting with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and continuing with a VIP experience from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at Cobb CineBistro at Liberty Center.
It’s the unofficial opening of the spring running season and the first stop in the Flying Pig’s Beer Series runs. The Bockfest 5K helps kick off Bockfest Saturday on March 3 with a 5K run past some of the most historic brewing sites in our city’s beer history.
